We believe that diversity in our teams not only enriches the lives of our colleagues, but also provides the best possible guest experience. At Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, we focus on four key pillars to help support Diversity & Inclusion.
“We believe there is strength in unity, and power in diversity. What that means is a culture of inclusion that welcomes everyone from different experiences, regardless of race, gender or background.”
Our DEI Mission Statement
Our Four Pillars
Gender Diversity (RiiSE)
Our RiiSE pillar is focused on gender diversity and equality. We have set concrete goals to ensure our workforce is equally represented for male and female colleagues and leaders. A key target for our hotel is to have 50% female representation in Leadership Positions.
Ability & Accessibility
We believe the beauty of Lake Louise should be experienced by everyone. We have committed to making our hotel accessible to everyone while also ensuring equal employment opportunities for all future colleagues that may be considered disabled in any way.
Race & Cultural Diversity
At Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise we are striving to have the most culturally diverse teams possible. We don’t only do this to broaden our teams understanding of all cultures and backgrounds, but we also have witnessed the best results are produced by diverse teams. In 2023 we have over 45 different nationalities working at the hotel.
LGBTQIA+
An important part of our brand’s identity is to welcome everyone to our hotels. We do not discriminate against anyone’s sexual preferences and encourage colleague and guest participation in LGBTQIA+ initiatives like Pride Month and Pride Day.
