Transportation Options

Airplane
Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the closest airport to Lake Louise. Travel time by car is approximately 2 hours.

Bus
Brewster bus service offers full time colleagues at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise great discounts. To obtain the discount at the Airport, new colleagues are required to show the Brewster desk their employment offer email. It is recommended that you book your bus ticket in advance. The Brewster bus will drop off in front of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. When you arrive, you will walk to the Colleague Services Building.

An additional option is BusBud that provides transportation with no discount.

Car

If you driving, you can drive through the Banff National Park gate using the visitor lane (right side lane) when you first make the trip. Once you have arrived you can visit The Lake Louise Visitor Centre and they will issue you a resident park pass. You will need to show proof of employment or residence in the park to receive a pass.

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel is located at the top of a 5 km hill in Lake Louise. After Deer Lodge, take a right turn on “St. Piran” this road will lead you to Colleague Services. You can park your car outside the Building in General Parking.

Getting Your “Welcome Package”

When you arrive at the Colleague Services building, a member of the Colleagues Team will present you with your “Welcome Package” which includes your new unit keys, mailbox key and the appointment time for your uniform fitting. They will then escort your to your unit to complete the move-in inspection and ensure you are all set.

New Colleagues Orientation

On your first day of work you will attend orientation. This is conducted by Talent & Culture (Human Resources) Team and will provide an opportunity to complete any additional or outstanding paperwork and will end with a tour of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and all our staff facilities. Please ensure you have your photo ID, Social Insurance Number Card/Government issued document, Void Cheque/Direct Deposit Form from your bank account, and Work Permit/PR Card (if applicable).
